Finishing The Canadian Goose Drawing

Today I finished my Canadian goose colored pencil drawing. I have been working on it slowly as lately I have been busy with other projects.

I colored in the brown feathers on my Canadian goose.

I finished coloring in the primarily brown feathers on the Canadian goose. The neck was black, and there were white feathers on the face and near the tail area.

The video illustrates the inspiration behind my Canadian goose drawing, which is based on a video I created of two geese I spotted back on February 13, 2014.

  1. I love how realistic this drawing is, and how the almost swan-like long neck of the Canadian goose gives this bird its special sense of dignity. The colors you chose and the texture of the grass really adds to the vibrant overall effect of the drawing. Thanks also for sharing the video of your process, from the inspiration of the live geese to the work in progress to the completed drawing.
