Making A Cross Stitched Heart Is A Great Valentine’s Day Craft

There is a lot of talk about how Valentine’s Day is a day for romance, but it does not have to be that way. As an artist and a crafter I love to create projects based around holidays, and originally I had hoped that this heart cross stitched project would be finished on time for Valentine’s Day, but this did not come to pass. I got waylaid and sidetracked, but looking at this cross stitch piece and finally picking it up again, I vow to finish it before the end of the month. So sometimes days such as Valentine’s Day can be about the love of crafting rather than romanticized notions of love. So what is Valentine’s Day about for you?

    1. I agree with you about the all forms of love thing. I just heard a lot of married people say how they hate Valentine’s Day because they have a great relationship every day and do not need to celebrate it on the 14th, and some single people complaining that they did not have a Valentine. I just thought why not find other reasons to enjoy the day, and I like the crafting and arty aspect of all the holidays.
